ISECS-CSECP is the only standard in professional certifications for export controls and sanctions.

What is the ISECS-CSECP?

The ISECS-CSECP is the only economic sanctions and export controls certification initiative designed to incorporate regulatory, enforcement, and national security frameworks within multiple independent jurisdictions, in one certification program.

How was the CSECP Developed?

The ISECS-CSECP is a collaborative effort between former international government officials (regulatory, enforcement, and national security), trade compliance lawyers, and industry professionals from multinational companies to create a unique, one-of-a-kind, industry standard for professional certifications.

How do I earn the CSECP Title?

As a CSECP Student, you can earn the CSECP title by completing two of several certifications, which will be released throughout 2025. They will include:

• U.S. Sanctions and Export Controls (mandatory for earning the CSECP title)

• Chinese Sanctions and Export Controls (optional, in development)

• European Sanctions and Export Controls (optional, in development, will include multiple member states)

• Canadian Sanctions and Export Controls

• Japanese Sanctions and Export Controls

• India Sanctions and Export Controls

• Others planned through 2025 and 2026

Upon successfully completing the individual certificate courses, you will be awarded the coveted CSECP Certificate and Title.

Cost is dependent on which certificate courses are chosen but the CSECP professional title will be more cost effective than any other economic sanctions or export controls certification on the market.

The CSECP courses are self-paced. Students may complete courses within a few weeks or can take a few months based on individual preference.

ISECS’ educational courses are the only courses on the market developed by former international regulatory enforcement officials, who have monitored international trade throughout the world. They are uniquely qualified to help teach industry how to minimize the risk of government scrutiny through risk-based training, actual case studies, and personal experiences.

There is no need to continue to pay for continuous learning. Much like a driver’s license, you do not have to keep paying for the ability to be considered “certified”. To maintain the certification, a student can continue to attend ISECS Wednesday Webinars and participate in ISECS working groups, which are free with the ISECS yearly membership fee.

Former government officials deeply understand the purposes, priorities, and psychology of government agencies around the world, and only they can help develop training programs that will be universally respected and acknowledge as being authoritative.

Becoming “certified” through the International Sanctions and Export Control Society will provide immediate credibility in the world of compliance professionals from both industry and government perspectives.

For more information, please contact the ISECS at membership@internationalsanctionssociety.org
