The Certified Sanctions and Export Control Professional ("CSECP") certification sets the market standard in training and education in export controls and sanctions. As a CSECP Learner, you can earn the CSECP title by completing two of several country jurisdiction certifications, which will be released throughout 2025 and 2026. The U.S. Sanctions and Export Control Certificate course is mandatory. Other jurisdictions are optional.
Upon successfully completing the individual certificate courses, you will be awarded the coveted CSECP Certificate and Title.

The U.S. Sanctions and Export Controls Certificate Course was developed by a Tier 1 law firm, in house compliance professionals, in collaboration with former members of the U.S. Government's regulatory, intelligence, enforcement and diplomatic communities. The U.S. certificate course provides in depth instruction pertaining to the 1) regulatory framework of U.S. export controls, 2) economic sanctions, and 3) an introduction to the enforcement agencies of the U.S. government, their mission, and enforcement of economic sanctions and export controls.

The China Sanctions and Export Controls Certificate Course was developed by former members of the Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS), U.S. Department of Commerce and the Ministry of Commerce of China, in collaboration with a Tier 1 law firm. With input from collaborators in both Washington, DC and Beijing, China, this certificate course is the only one of its kind in the market and the only course in the market addressing China's 1) export control framework, 2) the establishment of a future sanctions framework, and 3) enforcement.

The European Union Sanctions and Export Control Certificate Course was developed by former members of the Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS), U.S. Department of Commerce, who represented the U.S. Government to EU Member States and the Wassenaar Arrangement, in collaboration with attorneys from a Tier 1 law firms located in the U.S. and in Germany. This certificate course will provide overviews of the 1) European Commission entities responsible for export controls and sanctions, 2) overviews of all member state organizations with a regulatory and enforcement function, 3) instruction on the regulatory framework, and 4) introduction to EU enforcement.

The India Union Sanctions and Export Control Certificate Course was developed by former members of the Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS), U.S. Department of Commerce, in cooperation with attorneys from the law firms DGS Associates and ELP Law. The India course will analyze the export control and sanctions framework of India.
